Friendship

“The better part of one’s life consists of his friendships.” Abraham Lincoln

I don’t know how many friends Abe Lincoln had, but he certainly knew how important friendships are.

Here are some thoughts about friendship –

A friendship is built upon trust, respect, support and the acceptance of differences.

            Good relationships lead to happiness.

            Friendships need to be nurtured.

True friendships come from caring and hard work.

When something good happens to a friend, call them.

When bad things happen to a friend, comfort them.

When they have needs, do your best to help.

Be aware of a friend’s feelings – be sincere.

Remember birthdays and anniversaries and other special days.

Let your friends help you when you have a need.

And most of all, remember this…

“A friend is a gift you give yourself” Robert Louis Stevenson
