If you’ve been following our Kids Without Stuff blog posts you’ll know that StarShine Academy now has a new home.
During the Christmas Holiday break, we worked to unpack the
trucks and boxes, clean up the rooms and campus, paint and repair electrical
and water pipes, plant a new garden and spruce up the existing landscape, and
install all the technology that a school needs to operate.
The only reason this was possible was due to the dedication
of the teachers and support staff at StarShine.
They are a phenomenal group.
Everyone from our school finance department to the technology department to the
teachers to the maintenance and kitchen department helped get the school ready
for the first day back. Many of the StarShine Team worked weekends, Christmas Eve
and New Year’s Day. And the result was amazing! The campus was transformed and
ready for the students and teachers to return on January 2.
During this next week I’ll be posting stories about the move
and the first week back from the holidays. But, I wanted to share some photos
from the two weeks of unpacking and setting up during the holidays.
Enjoy!
