StarShine and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
StarShine is fortunate to have many supporters. Among them is
St. Barnabas Church. One of the hats I wear
at StarShine is as liaison between St. Barnabas and the school, publicizing and
scheduling volunteers. I also serve on the mission (outreach) committee. StarShine is one of twelve missions at St. Barnabas who
receive financial aid.
Jan Shoop and Lois Jamieson with the St. Barnabas Volunteers
Two important dates are on the calendar at St. Barnabas. On
Sunday, February 12th, we celebrate Mission Sunday. StarShine will be recognized as a mission. We
will have an information table where parishioners and visitors can sign up for
tours and/or to volunteer.
On February 25th, St. Barnabas will host their
annual Hearts and Hands party and silent auction, with proceeds going to all
the missions. StarShine will receive their fair share of these funds. Everyone is welcome to attend the Mission Sunday recognition
and the Hearts and Hands party. For information, about these celebrations go to Saint Barnabas Church
Many thanks to this wonderful church and to all the
parishioners who volunteer and financially support StarShine.
