This Sunday, June 17, is Father’s Day. I am blessed to still have
a father to hug, talk with on the phone and spend time enjoying lunch together.
My dad is 83. He’s out on the golf course most weeks, practices taichi with his
friends and spends time with my mom.
In honor of my father, and fathers everywhere, here are some
of my favorite quotes about fatherhood:
“The most important thing a father can do for his children is
to love their mother.” Theodore Hesburgh
“I talk and talk and talk, and I haven’t taught people in 50
years what my father taught by example in one week.” Mario Cuomo
“He who has daughters is always a shepherd.” Anonymous
“He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch
him do it.” Clarence Budington Kelland
“A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms
when his hands are empty.” Anonymous
“There are three stages of a man’s life: He believes in Santa
Claus, he doesn’t believe in Santa Claus, he is Santa Claus.” Anonymous
